Our Doctors

Dr Yew Toh Wong is a specialist Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon with over 25 years of clinical experience across the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia.

Dr Wong qualified from Flinders University in 1995 and completed his general and vascular surgery training across the Yorkshire and East Anglian Deanery in the UK and the Lahey Clinic in the United States. He completed two vascular surgery fellowships in Perth and Adelaide before being appointed as a consultant vascular and renal transplant surgeon in Bristol, and later serving as a consultant vascular surgeon at Flinders Medical Centre from 2011 to 2021.

Dr Wong holds Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, is a member of the Australia and New Zealand Society of Vascular Surgery, and holds the advanced endovascular aortic intervention diploma from the University of Lille, France.

He brings extensive surgical expertise to his work at The Vein Institute, applying his vascular background to the assessment and treatment of varicose veins and venous conditions with a commitment to clinical excellence and patient-focused care.

Dr Zil Yassine is the founder and Medical Director of The Vein Institute.

With over 15 years of experience under his belt, Dr Zil is dedicated and passionate about vascular health and providing non-invasive treatments for his patients.

Dr Zil proudly holds a Bachelor of Medicine (UNSW), Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound in Phlebology (ACP), and is a fellow of FRACGP, F(Phleb UK).
